Robert Downey Jr.

Robert John Downey Jr. was born on 4^th April 1965. He is an American actor and his career includes popular success in his youth. According to Forbes list, Downey has the highest paid actor in Hollywood from 2012-2015. Downey makes his acting debut in his father’s film ‘Pound’ (1970). Robert appeared in the role which is associated with the Brat Pack, such as science fiction comedy ‘Weird Science’ and the drama ‘Less than Zero’ (1987).

In 1992, Film ‘Chaplin’ earned him a nomination for Academy Award for Best Actor and he won BAFTA Award for best actor in leading role.

Downey joined the cast of the TV series ‘Ally McBeal’ after releasing from the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison, where he was on a drug charge. This television series earned Robert a Golden Globe Award.

Robert Downey has given many super hit films such as Zodiac (2007), Tropic Thunder (2008) for which he was nominated for Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

In 2008, Downey began playing the role of Iron Man in the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’. Each of the films crossed over $500 million at the box office worldwide.
