Amitabh Harivansh Rai Shrivastava Bachchan is a Bollywood film actor, was born on 11 October 1942, who gain popularity in the early 1970s for his movies like Zanjeer and Deewaar. He was dubbed India’s first “angry young man” for his on-screen roles in Bollywood. Amitabh Bachchan is also called as the “Shahenshah of Bollywood”, “Star of the Millennium” or “Big B”. Amitabh Bachchan is widely considered as one of the greatest and most influential actors in the history of Indian cinema. French director Francois Truffaut called him a “one-man industry.”
Bachchan has won numerous awards in his career. He has also won four National Film Awards as Best Actor. He achieved fifteen Film fare Awards and he is the most-nominated performer in any major acting category at Film fare, with 40 nominations overall.
