Alia Bhatt is one of the extremely talented actresses of the young Bollywood brigade who is well known for her daring choice of movies. Alia was born on 15th of March 1993. Her parents are renowned director Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan.

Being Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter she would have easily grabbed a leading role in the mega-budget movies, but she did not do so. She gave auditions and never used her father’s name to grab a movie deal.

When she auditioned for the movie “Student of The Year” she was among 400 girls who had auditioned for that role. She returned to the big screen in 2014 with Imtiaz Ali directed “Highway” which made her favourite of Critics due to her improved and great acting abilities.

 Her performance of a Stockholm syndrome victim in the movie was loved by all.

She grabbed her first Filmfare Award for “Highway”. In 2014 she also starred in the movie “2 States” opposite Arjun Kapoor and “Humpty Sharma KI Dulhania” both of the movies were the huge success at the box office and well acclaimed by the critics too.  In 2016 she became a talk of the town when she played a Bihari Migrant in the movie “ Udta Punjab”. Her intense portrayal of the same left everyone’s jaw drop. In the Same year, she portrayed the role of a depression patient in the movie “Dear Zindagi” opposite Shahrukh Khan. This movie won the hearts of the audiences and in fact, there was no single negative comment about the movie by critics.

Who can miss the goof up she made at the “ Koffee with Karan” show by naming the President of India wrong. After that, she was trolled all over the internet for her low GK quotient. She took it sportingly and on the jokes too which makes her perfect example of a great human being.
