Kadhai Paneer is a North Indian dish which is relished by everyone. However, most of us say that the restaurant flavour of this delicious delicacy cannot be recreated at home.So, here this recipe comes to your rescue and is easy to make at home too.

Ingredients

250 Grams paneer or indian cottage cheese

1 Medium Onion

1 Capsicum

For Kadhai Masala

2 Tablespoon coriander seeds

3 Dried red chillies

10 Cashew nuts

1 Onion, diced

2 Tomatoes, diced

1 Tablespoon ginger garlic paste

1 Tablespoon salt

1/2 Teaspoon red chilli powder

1/2 Teaspoon garam masala

1/4 Kasoori Methi

Coriander for garnishing

Method

In a grinder finely grind red chillies and coriander seeds.Your kadhai masala is ready and set it aside. Then in a pan, heat the oil and saute onion and cashews. Now add tomatoes to onion and cashews. Saute tomatoes till they turn mushy and soft. After this mixture is ready, cool it down and blend in into a smooth paste. Keep this paste aside.

Now in a different pan add oil. Let the oil get warm, add onions and capsicum in it. Saute it until the onions and capsicum turn crunchy. When onions and capsicum turn crunchy its time to add paneer. Toss paneer for 2 minutes and turn off the flame afterwards.

Take a new pan and add ginger garlic paste in it. Now its time to add the kadhai masala in the ginger garlic paste.Roast the spices very well. Now add onion tomato paste in it.Mix them all very well and add all the spices one by one. Let the spices mix well. After that add 3/4 cup of water in the mixture. Let it boil and make sure that the gravy is enough thick. As soon as gravy reaches the perfect consistency add paneer, onions and capsicum and boil it for few minutes so that spices mix to paneer very well. Garnish it with coriander.

Your Kadhai masala paneer is ready to eat. Serve it with hot chappatis.
