His father is David Dhawan who is one of the greatest directors and is known for making rib-tickling comedy films. Before making his Bollywood debut Varun worked as an assistant director in movie “My Name Is Khan”.
Varun Dhawan made his debut in Bollywood with the movie name “Student of the Year” in 2012 starring Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra which was directed by Karan Johar.
